Lyngby-Taarbæk Brass Band
One of the best brass bands in Europe. A couple of times we have arranged
common concerts. Their homepage is the most fanciest and advanced within
Danish amateur music. Here you will also find the most comprehensive list

Harmonie St. Michaël
Thorn
This orchestra was founded in 1863 and is today a symphonic wind orchestra
with international fame. The orchestra has given concerts in many
concert halls in Europe and recorded several CD's. It has been the winner
of many international competitions, a.o. the World Music Contest in Kerkrade
1958, 1974 and 1993. Harmonie St. Michaël Thorn and The Danish Concert
Band have produced The Scandinavian Connection, a CD with music
by Johan de Meij and Søren Hyldgaard.
WASBE
World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles. This organization
arranges major conferences, where orchestras from all over the world perform
concerts. In 1997, The Danish Concert Band was invited and performed
with a program featuring Danish music and with Carsten Svanberg and Jens
Bjørn-Larsen as soloists. We are mentioned on WASBE's page
with pictures from the conference.
Amstel Music, Johan de
Meij
This homepage for the publishing firm is also the homepage of Johan
de Meij. Here you can order music and CD's, and you can see descriptions
and explanations to the music of Johan de Meij, known and beloved by all
Concert Bands. At several occasions, Johan de Meij has performed as guest
conductor for The Danish Concert Band.
Søren
Hyldgaard
Danish, versatile composer. Best known for the music to the film The
eye of the Eagle. He has written several pieces of music for The Danish
Concert Band, both on request and on his own initiative. His music can
be obtained from Amstel Music. The Danish Concert Band has recorded his
music.
